When you arrive, complete the Medical Examination Report Form with:

Important: List all your medications. Taking medications is okay—just be honest.

Step 2: Hands-On Exam (15-20 minutes)

Our FMCSA-certified medical examiner will check:

• Vision (minimum 20/40) and hearing

• Vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate)

• Heart and lungs

• Back, spine, legs, and arms (range of motion and reflexes)

• Neurological function

• Urinalysis — a simple urine dip test screening for glucose, protein, specific gravity, and blood

About the Urinalysis: This is NOT a drug test. It's a basic medical screening to check kidney function and overall health. Many first-time drivers worry about this, but it's completely routine and non-invasive.

Step 3: Get Your Certificate

Upon passing, you'll sign your paperwork and receive your DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MCSA-5875 & MCSA-5876) on the spot. Your information is automatically uploaded to the National Registry—no DMV paperwork needed from you.
